Bermuda Run will be dancing to the beat of beach music as the Special Occasion Band performs the grand finale of their 2019 summer concert series on Saturday, September 27th. The concert series has brought five bands to Bermuda Run, filling the air with music and bringing the community together.
Whether you’ve attended every concert or this will be your first, here are five things you should know.
1. Parking
When you arrive at the concert, there is free parking on both sides of Kinderton Boulevard that is available for you during the event. The area is well marked and organized to make the entire night as seamless as possible.
2. Photography
While you’re at the event, be sure to make memories by taking pictures of the performers, your friends and family and the beautiful surrounding area. The Town of Bermuda Run is proud to welcome you to this concert series and hopes that pictures will help you remember the good times and great music.
3. Food and Beverages
Outside food and beverages are allowed and encouraged. You can stop by a local restaurant in Bermuda Run before you get to the event and grab your favorite snack or meal. If you’re not sure where to go, check out this list of places to dine.
Having your favorite local treat or bringing a picnic basket for the entire family is one way to make the concert even more enjoyable.
4. Who makes these possible?
These wonderful events are made possibly by their co-hosts, the Davie County Arts Council and The Town of Bermuda Run.
The Davie County Arts Council is a vibrant part of the community as they bring the arts alive and to our very own front doors through the performing arts, musical ensembles and different mediums of artistic interpretation.
The Town of Bermuda Run is an invaluable resource as it provides a wealth of information to community members and helps orchestrate events that bring people together at the heart of a community.
5. Come ready to have fun
This concert series is one of the many events that Bermuda Run has to offer— the concerts are brought to the community as a way for people to enjoy their weekends and just be.
Whether you come for a special date night, as a family or with a group of friends, these concerts create the perfect environment to enjoy a night out. You can grab your partner and head to the dance floor or sit back in your lawn chair and enjoy the music. No matter how you choose to relax, you’ll be blown away by the musical talents that were selected for the series and be counting down the days until the next free concert.
The Special Occasion Band will take the stage at 7:00 p.m. on September 28th at the gazebo near Town Hall in Kinderton Business Park and Green, 120 Kinderton Boulevard, off US Highway 158. The rain date for the event is Sunday, September 29th.
As a Winston-Salem based band, they are known throughout the Carolinas for their ability to transport you back to another time. Their beach repertoire includes favorites like “I Love Beach Music,” “Carolina Girls,” “60 Minute Man,” and “Brown-eyed Girl.”
