Maddie Myers, local entrepreneur and owner of Maddie Cakes Bakery in Bermuda Run graduated from Davidson-Davie Community College in 2014 and shortly after opened Maddie Cakes, a local favorite for sweet treats, soups and sandwiches, specialty drinks and coffee.
Maddie has built her business from the ground up and continues to introduce new recipes and treats to the menu. From energy bites and cupcakes to chicken salad sandwiches and cinnamon buns, they can serve it all!
During the COVID-19 quarantine, Maddie Cakes pivoted and adapted to the needs of the community by offering curbside service and kits where kids could decorate their own cupcakes at home during the holiday season.
In addition to the grab and go treats that Maddie Cakes serves on a daily basis, they also offer speciality orders. Whether you’re celebrating a birthday, anniversary, retirement, baby shower or wedding, Maddie and her crew can create something deliciously unique.
But when asked what the future holds for her she said, “Who knows what the future has in store for me? I hope it is the continuing of my growing business for years to come. I truly believe that God knows what the future has in store for me and he has a better plan for me than I could ever imagine for myself.”
One thing’s for certain, her success and that of Maddie Cakes, Bermuda Run’s favorite bakery is a reflection of her hard work and dedication as well as the community’s support.
