A POP-UP RESTAURANT WITH A PURPOSE
The Appetizer
Some people say that cooking is medicine, that food is good for the soul and that gathering around a table to break bread is a sacred tradition. It’s interesting how food literally energizes our bodies, providing the needed nutrients to take one more step, to do one more thing, but food can also be the basis of funding one more school event, keeping local businesses running, employing one more mom or dad. Food keeps us going in more ways than one and that’s why WinMock in Bermuda Run will soon offer The Most Good Pop-Up Dinner.
During these past few months, food has brought people together in Bermuda Run. Whether by residents supporting local restaurants, providing food for the hungry, taking homemade casseroles to the most vulnerable, or simply sharing a meal with the family members in your house, food has and will continue to have an impact on every aspect of our lives.
The Main Course
WinMock at Kinderton and Providence Catering (a program of the Second Harvest Food Bank) are taking their partnership one step forward to continue doing good in this community. Beginning on July 31st, they will be hosting a Pop-Up Restaurant on the weekends to provide funds to feed our hungry neighbors, provide work for Providence team members, and provide you with a dining experience in a safe and healthy environment.
Chef Jeff Bacon and his culinary team have developed a special “Most Good Dinner” menu featuring grill-inspired entrees along with a children’s menu and drink packages. WinMock will offer indoor and outdoor seating on their scenic terraces and abundant loft with plenty of space for social distancing.
“We are excited about this opportunity to bring the community together and support a great cause,” said Erika Edwards, Corporate Events Planner at Sterling Events Group. “The health and safety of our guests is of the utmost importance and our team of catering and event professionals is specially trained in COVID response service, so that our guests can dine with confidence.”
The Dessert
The real sweet part of these Pop-Up dinners is that the proceeds will go to support Second Harvest Food Bank’s ongoing COVID response in our community.
“WinMock’s role is to continue our partnership and dedication to the mission of Providence Catering and the Second Harvest Food Bank. We hope to provide a vehicle to support their continued growth, specifically during this hard time,” said Edwards.
This event will be ongoing for the foreseeable future and the team anticipates delightful menu changes as well as exciting live entertainment and theme nights according to Edwards. By participating in these events, you’ll be supporting your local community and gathering around the table to share in the most time-honored tradition of all.
